Not everyone knows the inspiration for the Dearie Digis....Here are some pics of the dolls that Kip and I made. He did all of the woodworking. One time he made me a tiny little wood whistle for a special order I had for a gym teacher. He would cut me out like 100 shoes at a time and all of the accessories in wood that I would need to assemble and craft the dolls. Anyway, fun to share a little of this for me. I like remembering him in his workshop. He would turn up the music, usually jazz and eat a tootsie roll or two that he hid out there from the kids.

    1. Ike, sadly I don't make them anymore. They were about seven inches tall. I did do some really tall ones as well, but mostly the seven inch ones. Maybe someday I will attempt to do some more, but I could never do what Kip did with the wood. He was the best.

  3. Thank you for sharing... although I am not familiar with your history, it sounds like a lot of love was involved in these creations... Lucky girl to have had someone to love you like that... It shows in your digi's too... Thank you, another m.e.

  9. WONDERFUL!!!!!!!! I understand that you need a break, the Love of your Heart is gone and with him the creativity (perhaps a little time or a long time, anytime it comes back [I think, I hope for you :} ]) and then the same style or another. Your Diggi's are fantastic (I think, I say it loooong time ago *shame*).
Thank you sooooooooo much for your sweety Lovelys!!!

  22. Thank you for sharing. I remember you had said something about your previous work a long, long time ago (I've been a follower for a couple years now). But these "dolls" are amazing and I don't remember ever seeing a picture of them before. It's my 25th wedding anniversary today...I remember the sadness you had over losing Kip, so this reminds me to enjoy and love every day I have with my husband. You are loved by your "crafting" friends.
